Day 61: 5/31/2018

I had a difficult time reading one of th classic classroom discourse books today. It was Sinclair and Coulthard (1975). Yep, it was publish for over 40 years now. It is called classic for a very good reason.

I felt frustrated because of the speed of my reading did not meet my own expectation. No matter how hard I tried, it still took me very long to go through each page. I will stop complaining now.

Like usual, I went to work in the evening from 6–10 and it was a good day at work. Everything, well almost everything was manageable and things went pretty okay. However, one thing I noticed was that my speech was not as smooth as it should be and it was definitely due to my stress because of the book I am reading. There has been myriad times I have encountered similar situation but I did not think I would experience it so early at the stage of my research.

So, I will take a good rest now, relax a bit and plan my day in the morning instead. Hopefully, my stress will show some decline tomorrow.
