Day 150: 8/28/2018

I woke up feeling fresh and ready to concur the world!

I worked throughout the day according to my daily plan I had worked on last night. I have to say that generally, things went as planned and I was quite productive during the morning hours. Starting off feeling great, I managed to finish writing Mercer (2000) as I wanted. Phew….

The momentum stayed with me for a few good hours until noon. Things went off track a little bit and I was technically an hour behind my schedule. However, I managed to pick up with working straight at the office during the early afternoon hours after I arrived there.

Things were in good shape and everything was caught up on schedule. I believe partly it was because I was able to concentrate and I focused on what I want to get done at the moment. Piece by piece, I reached the point where I wanted to.

Some changes were made and notes were added as the day went by.

Later, as I planned to stay longer at the office until before sunset (before 8 pm.), so I went to the kitchen area of the office, reheated my packed dinner, and there was the moment things went totally off track. My plan was never the same from that point on and my momentum clocked out for the day. There I met my PhD mate, Rano, who sits right next to me. I decided to break the silence while washing up my dish at the same time she came in to cook some quick meal. The conversation started from there before I knew she was a nice, positive, talkative person who shares a lot in common. Half an hour went by rather quickly and before I knew it it was 6 something.

Then I decided again to change my plan and headed directly home given the amount of work I had finished earlier.

After that it all went totally downhill. No more work was touched let alone being finished. But all was good. It was the good start of the section. :)

Self-evaluation on time and life management on this: 7.5/10
