Towards a PhD: No-Phone Policy

Day 70: 6/9/2018

Unlike every morning, I left my phone on flight mode for an extra hour after I got up and spent that hour read in silence without any interruptions.

I found that when I had previously read that article the other day, I had missed a great deal of details. Today was a different story. When I still put my phone in flight mode, my mind was calm and I was able to concentrate better for a longer period of time. Richards (2008), which was a comprehensive conceptual article on Second Language Teacher Education (SLTE), was much better when I read it this morning compared to the previous time.

I seriously need to repeat this every day.

Remain my cellphone in flight mode for a full extra hour for a more productive day.

Overall, it was a good relatively productive day.
