Day 310: 2/4/2019

Yeah, I am getting a bit nervous, just a bit!

No matter how hard I tried to wake up at 7.30 this morning, I failed hopelessly and got up at 7.35. Though it was as little as five minutes late and some might say it means literally nothing, it means that I did not try hard enough and lost the battle to my own inner thoughts. In fact, I was awake as soon as the alarm went off and I heard myself saying silently, “it is okay for you to stay in bed a bit longer since you have been working so hard and you deserve this.” Another person inside my head fought back saying that “you should really get up because the clock is ticking and you are wasting your precious time sleeping in bed now.” For a good long five minutes, no one won really the battle but I decided to get up and moved on with my life.

Once getting up, I follow my established routine as usual and worked on my Progression Meeting preparation for “methodology” section in particular. When it comes to memorizing specific words and concentrating on detailed information, I am all about reading and writing with my own handwriting. Doing so helps me to remember things better, especially for information retrieval.

I studied the entire more with hope in mind that if I spend my prime time preparing for the progression well, I can spend my down time running and doing other admin tasks. Again, I first had planned to go for a run around 1.30–2 pm. but I ended up running a bit late which should not happen. P’Gluay had to wait for me and that was a waste of time for him. After all, it was a good long stress-relieving run for me.

Initially, I was determined to run for a minimum of 12K today but due to my poor planning on time and meal, I did not accomplish the goal. Instead, I finished it at 11K feeling great and high but a tad hungry. That was the cause of me having to finish the run before I achieved my goal.

As we planned to go to the City Center to do some shopping, P’Gluay and I went to Nando’s for a quick dinner after finding out that Red Chili was extremely busy that no tables were available on this Chinese New Year’s Day. We both were starving and enjoyed out dinner there always. Our dinner was even better and brighter with Nong P-Day’s liveliness as we accidentally met her there and asked her if she wanted to join us. It was a wonderful surprise indeed and I got inspired and even more energized after talking with Nong P-Day.

A lesson learned today: Sometimes it does not take much thinking to accomplish something. It takes not only initiation but also determination.
