Day 64: 6/3/2018

I thank myself for still writing this entry despite my extreme physical exhaustion.

I just finished planning for tomorrow and will plan the rest of the week tomorrow morning. It has been a good day as I was a bit more productive today. However, the main point of today’s entry is to review the past week.

Overall, it was an okay week with a relative good start. Nonetheless, during the middle of the week, somehow my mental and physical fatigue kicked in. For a strange unidentified reason, I felt burnout and rather demotivated. As a result, I distracted myself from studying and instead spent so much time going from a random application to another aimlessly on my phone and computer. There were times I caught myself picking up my phone and was mad at myself for doing that. That did not stop there though since it continued for almost the rest of the week.

Things got better during the last few days of the week. Even though I still found myself glancing and using my cell phone at times, it was much less frequent as I spent more time reading something much more interesting. Plus, I started (again) to plan things ahead of time and tried my best to stick with it. This strategy has helped me to visualize my day and I become much more productive than days with no plans.

In summary, this week was not a bad week albeit some improvements for me to work on in the next week. If I were to conduct a self-evaluation, I would rate myself the following scores:
7/10 in terms of productivity,
7/10 for time management, and
7.5/10 for work-life balance.
With these given scores, honestly, I am pretty excited to see whether my performance will improve or not and how much.

As for this coming week, I have planned to start working on my research proposal revision (again) from tomorrow morning on. That will be along side with doing the readings. It should and will definitely be a busy week.

P.S.1 I finished Chapter 2 of Mercer (2000) and have been loving the book!
P.S.2 I went to work at the restaurant this evening. It was a pretty good day at work.
