This morning I woke up rather late with one goal in mind, to complete revising my research proposal and email it to Jan and Dr. Louise by 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Though my morning was short, I did not delay after getting up. The breakfast was served not very long after that and I went directly to work afterwards.
As the deadline was approaching, I realized I was able to focus better than before. This is actually not a good thing because in fact I should have finished this much earlier. I did not really work for almost two months straight. Well, to be fair, it was actually about a month from before I left home in early December. However, I still felt this urge of finishing it and I am way behind the schedule, especially when considering the amount of work I have to finish by May. From now on, I need to be more strategic with my work and I have to work smarter. That surely includes spending my time more wisely, effectively and efficiently.
My immediate goal now is to prepare for TAP 2, year 1 meeting next week on 1/8/2019 and that will be closely followed by the Progression meeting which is significant for my PhD.
Too bad, I have left it too long that it has become rather urgent and important issue. I will spend time planning on it tomorrow.
Speaking of today and my New Year’s Resolution so far, I have to say that I did a pretty good job to start the year.
I did exercise for more than 15 minutes. YAY!
I did write for more than 15 minutes; for work and pleasure. YAY!
I did eat healthy by having a salad before dinner. YAY!
I will read for 15 minutes before bed tonight.
In sum, I hit 3/4 goals and will hit the last before bed now. It is going great!
One last thing I need to mention is that I have just published my first podcast episode for this year. It feels so great to be able to get the ball rolling but it will be challenging to keep the momentum going. Let us how it goes….
