After a long day filled with unexpected series of event yesterday, I could not get myself up at the time I wanted yesterday. On the contrary, I let my body and soul had almost two hours extra of rest.
Once I got up, I tried to start my routine as usual, from streching, making myself some coffee, to putting on ‘study mode’ right away. It went pretty well. I was able to focus and be cellphone free for a good hour or two.
At 12.30, I had a session to attend on campus and off I went. After that things did not go as planned at all.
Well, I have to make it clear that today I did not really plan out my day in details. (Went back to the original ‘plan-in-my-head’ mode kind of day). However, I did jotted down things I had to complete today.
After the session, I went to the office and then came a good surprise. There was a Thai student sitting right across from my desk (we were actually sitting back to back). Kratib is a university lecturer studying Phd in TESOL at York. Then we talked about our lives back home and here in York and time flew by quickly. The next thing I knew it was almost two hours later and I perfectly did not get anything done. Well, I made a new friend who has so much in common with me. :) That sounds good enough?
Headed home starving, I had a quick breakfast, and went grocery shopping at Waitrose. Feeling mentally not ready for studying anymore, I spent time watching YouTube videos hoping for a more productive day tomorrow.
Today is gone.
Tomorrow is another new day with hope.
Let us hope that it will be a better day, than today, and the day(s) before that.

Time is ticking, I need to read more and be more productive.
Even though I do not have to create any draft for the coming supervision meeting, I have to be prepared to talk about the progress of my work. So, get on with it and GET IT DONE NOW!
