Read. More. Deeply.

(This is a #notetoself kind of entry AKA a journal entry.)

Well, I have been thinking for the past few days that I NEED TO READ MORE!

Like many English language learners, I am now stuck with my own ideas, vocabulary and same old sentence structures, and have not been that active in terms of my reading and writing lately.

One way to fix this problem is to read more extensively and intensively. To put it more simply, this means that I need to read more in terms of quantity and more deeply in quality. For example, these days I only read short paragraphs for gists or main ideas and most of the time I do nothing further with the texts I read. What I should really do is to read for meaning between the lines and think how the ideas are presented and how the writers do so.

Tomorrow I will work on this task and will document how it goes and how I feel as well.
