Decision, Decision, Decision

I have been waiting patiently for something very important for the past two and a half months now — a university application result. I have learned so much from this and most importantly that life is uncertain and as I said in a few entry earlier that waiting is brutal.

This morning after a few days of careful consideration, I gave up. I decided to take another route — to go to the university I have been accepted for almost two months now. It was the best way for me and I know that I still have ample time to plan and work everything smoothly. Once that decision was made, I was relieved and felt re-energized after a long while. I felt fresh and ready to do whatever it takes to get it done again.

A moment later, my energy shrunk. I talked to an educational agency who I have been working on this matter for over a month now and she suggested that I should wait for another week. In the meantime, she will email to inform this institute right away that I have been waiting for the result and that I can no longer wait. Basically, I have opt for another option I have in hand right now.

I was amazed by how my own decisions can change me instantly. One minute I was full of life and the next completely drained. Apparently, this has nothing to do with my choices — the institutes I am going between the two. Rather, it is all about ‘decision making’ that drains away my energy.

Waiting is no longer painful, at least for the moment, as I have set my certain deadline. Hopefully, things will turn out fine and that my time is worth the wait.

Waiting can be memorable
