A realization, it takes much longer than expected and planned.

I have come to a realization that it takes much longer than expected and planned. I tried my best for the past two weeks to finish Orca’s chapter. The first deadline was June 30 but I failed at it and thus extended to July 10. Now, it is July 13 and it is nowhere near the finish line. I am still working on student group interview draft which ironically was planned to be done in a few days. In reality, it has taken me over a week from transcription, analysis and writeup. This takes much longer than I could ever imagine.

Am I disappointed at myself? — No! Because I have tried my best in all ways possible. There are times I felt tired and unmotivated but I have never felt burnout.

One lesson learned, it is easy to plan but so damn difficult to stick with it, especially in research write up!

The good news is I should finish Orca’s chapter draft in two days, fingers crossed (which will be about half a month delayed from the initial deadline). Life is still great and hopeful after all.
